We are proud to annouce the recipients of the Ambassador for Epilepsy, Social Accomplishment and Lifetime Achievement Awards to be presented during the Opening Ceremony of the 28th International Epilepsy Congress in Budapest .
Lifetime Achievement Award
The recipients Lifetime Achievement Award of IBE/ILAE is the highest accolade presented by IBE/ILAE and recognises those exceptional people who have devoted a career lifetime to improving the quality of life of people with epilepsy.
The recipients of Lifetime Achievement Award are:

Social Accomplishment Award
The Social Accomplishment Award is given to an individual to recognise his or her exceptional personal contribution to activities that have resulted in a significant advance in the social well being and or quality of life of people with epilepsy.
The recipient of the Social Accomplishment Award is:
- Michael Hills (New Zealand)
Ambassador for Epilepsy Awards
The Ambassador for Epilepsy Awards are intended as recognition of outstanding achievement in the international struggle against epilepsy. Recipients must have made a commitment above and beyond the call of duty, either voluntarily or professionally, in the field of epilepsy.

In addition, IBE will be presenting the Volunteer Award during the General Assembly on Wednesday 1st July. The recipient of this award will not be announced until the event.
