Indian Epilepsy Association (IEA) was established in 1970 and has more than 2000 (Medical, Non -medical, People with epilepsy) Members.
Chapters: There are a total of 28 chapters in the IEA. These chapters are spread over different regions of the country. Most of the chapters are regular and active to disseminate knowledge about epilepsy.

Asian and Oceanian Outstanding Achievement Epilepsy Award 2010 (AOOAEA) Dr. Satish Chandra was bestowed this prestigious award during 8th AOEC at Melbourne.

Documentary on Epilepsy Story of Priya
Dr. Satish Jain was instrumental in preparing a documentary on epilepsy Story of Priya in Hindi with subtitles in English and dubbed in regional languages. This was shown in 250 cities. The copies were also sent to different epilepsy associations of IBE.
Diploma In Epilepsy Care
A Distant Education Programme for non medical persons involved in management of patients with epilepsy like nurses, primary health care workers counselors, EEG technicians etc. Till now 50 students have enrolled for this course and 15 have enrolled for the current year have passed the examination.
