Nepal Epilepsy Association (NEA) is a non governmental organization (NGO) established in 1986. It is the only organization in Nepal which is actively involved in the treatment and welfare of epilepsy patients and provides holistic care to patients living with epilepsy and raise awareness about epilepsy in Nepal, through booklets.
The activities include weekly epilepsy clinics in the epilepsy centers in Kathmandu (800 patients) and Dolakha (1000 patients).
Epilepsy case records are well maintained for followup. Subsidized rate medication and free medication for poor epileptic patients are provided.Subsidized EEG and imaging services are offered wherever required.
The NEA provides proper counseling to ensure timely follow up and long term compliance of the patient
