IBE undertakes a wide variety of activities to promote the work of the Bureau, to support its members in their work, and to increase knowledge and understanding about epilepsy.
Task Forces and Working Groups are established to work on pertinent, often short term, projects and to achieve specific goals.
User Groups provide support on areas of particular interest to Members.
Congresses, both international and regional, are organised in collaboration with the International League Against Epilepsy. Regional congresses are held biennially in Asia Oceania, Africa, Europe and Latin America. The location of the international meeting, which is also held every two years, changes each time the congress is held.
Awards are presented to honour individuals who have made significant impact in the field of epilepsy. IBE, in collaboration with the International League Against Epilepsy, presents a number of prestigious awards every two years.
Affiliations with other groups help to strengthen the scope of IBE’s endeavours through the formation of progressive partnerships. IBE is affiliated to a number of important groups.
