FREEDOM IN MIND – GET INVOLVED IN AN EXCITING NEW INITIATIVE!
An exciting new artistic project is underway, calling for people with epilepsy worldwide to use their chose of medium to express what freedom from seizures means to you. You may already be seizure free or you may not yet have reached this important goal, but, if you are someone who has been diagnosed with epilepsy, then we want you to consider being a part of this terrific new activity.
Touring Art Show
This is not a competition; it is an open invitation to people with epilepsy to use their artistic imaginations to create a piece of ‘art’ that is a personal expression of the concept of living free from seizures.
And although there are no prize-winners, everyone who submits an entry will receive a Thank You by way of a DVD ‘virtual tour’ of the Freedom in Mind exhibition or a Freedom in Mind T-shirt.
When does it happen?
All submitted pieces will be reviewed by a panel and selected entries will forma multi-media exhibition called the “Freedom in Mind Experience” which will be toured at international medical congresses over the period of a year. For the present time, there is no closing date for the submission of art works, but you are encouraged to get involved as soon as possible.
What sort of artwork is acceptable?
You may create your work in any form, for example:
Paintings, drawings, photography, or perhaps computer-generated imagery, poems, short stories, an excerpt from your diary, an audio diary, music or a song that you have composed, a video diary, a short film, or even a clip from your video phone.
The important thing is that the piece is original and personal to you.
How do I enter?
To enter you need to complete the Freedom in Mind Entry Form. This is available for download from the IBE website www.ibe-epilepsy.org or on request from the IBE office: email ibedublin@eircom.net.
