The IBE Research Task Force aims to encourage international communication and collaboration on research topics of interest to IBE members.
The work of IBE member groups is varied, including support services for people with epilepsy, advocacy, community education, political and policy roles. Research in these areas is limited and we are keen to foster discussion, and increased research action.
As a starting point the Task Force has completed a survey of IBE member associations to develop an overview of members’ research activities and participation.
We are particularly interested in promoting research which studies service delivery, epidemiology, women and epilepsy, support programs, psychosocial outcomes, epilepsy education, stigma, SUDEP, driving, employment, insurance etc. Please contact us if you would like to suggest a link for our web page. A list of epilepsy researchers who work in these areas of interest is also being compiled. If you wish to add your name (with email contact provided) please email a brief bio.
