The IBE Promising Strategies Program is now entering its 7th year, having been introduced in 2006 as a means of supporting IBE members through the provision of financial support for projects aimed at improving the quality of life of people with epilepsy around the world.
It is now one of the most successful and innovative of all IBE’s initiatives and has, to date, supported 70 projects in 37 countries, with total funding of US$300,000.
IBE now invites its members to apply for funding under the next round of the program. At this time, members are asked to submit short Letters of Intent, outlining their proposed projects. The closing date for Letters of Intent is Friday, 14th December 2012.
Following the closing deadline, the Letters of Intent received will be ‘triaged’ by the relevant Regional Executive Committee and will also be reviewed by the International Executive Committee. A final decision on projects to be supported in 2013 will be made in late January next year.
A fund of US$50,000 has been allocated for this initiative for 2013.
