European Epilepsy Day 2012

The 2nd European Epilepsy Day, on the 13th February, is now less than 6 weeks away!

Organised by the joint task force of IBE/ILAE, Epilepsy Advocacy Europe, the theme for EED 2012 is the ‘Burden of Epilepsy.’ A poster has been created to highlight this theme, using the winning photograph from the IBE Jubilee Photography Competition ‘Epilepsy Without Words’. The photograph is the work of Danish photographer Thilde Mørup Christensen.

Click here to download the European Epilepsy Day 2012 poster (2 MB).

Please contact IBE at ibedublin@eircom.net if you would like us to help you adapt the poster for use in your country. We can provide you with the following:

  1. A jpeg file of the image without text
  2. The EED logo in your language – it is available in 30 different European languages
  3. An adaption of the poster to your language (you just need to send us the translation of the phrase ‘Shattering Epilepsy Stigma’)
  4. Inclusion of your association’s logo in the white space at the bottom of the poster for use by your association (please send us a high resolution version of your logo)

Members of Epilepsy Advocacy Europe will be travelling to Strasbourg to meet with MEPs on the 14th February. These meetings are now being confirmed and, once more information comes to hand, we will keep you informed on which MEPs will be available. An evening reception is also planned for Strasbourg on Tuesday 14th, with the top photographs from the Epilepsy Without Words competition forming an exhibition backdrop.

More information on other activities will be available shortly.
