Introducing Mary Secco
IBE’s Vice President North America

Mrs Mary Secco joined the International Executive Committee at the end of 2007 as Vice President North America. She fills the vacancy that arose following the resignation of Mrs Denise Crépin earlier in the year. The mother of two teenage children, for the past 7 years Mary has been Executive Director of the Epilepsy Support Centre, a community based epilepsy centre in London, Canada. In this role, she works in providing counselling, information and support to persons living with epilepsy.

Mary joins IBE as representative of the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance, IBE’s new Full Member in Canada. This alliance is a cooperative of 26 local agencies dedicated to the promotion of independence and quality of life for people with epilepsy and their families through support services, information, advocacy and public awareness.

In her new role with IBE, Mary attended the annual IBE International Executive Committee Meeting, which took place in Brussels in January 2008.
