To coincide with the Asia Oceanian Epilepsy Congress held in Melbourne last week, the Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria hosted a Service Practitioners Forum which was attended by 44 staff representing organisations in all states and territories plus New Zealand. 9 staff (including Carol Ireland) attended from Epilepsy Action. Topics of interest to all were discussed, knowledge and practices were shared. All who attended thought the day was valuable.
All agencies in Australia (Including Epilepsy Action) are collaborating to recruit people living with epilepsy for the Epilepsy Foundation Research Register. This register now has over 700 people and has been used this year for the first longitudinal survey (to run for the next 10 years) on the impact of epilepsy on peoples lives
