ESTIMADOS AMIGOS.

El Comité Latinoamericano del IBE es el Comité Regional de más reciente formación, a partir del I Congreso Latinoamericano de Epilepsia en Santiago de Chile en el año 2000, cuando el Dr. Carlos Acevedo, fue designado el primer presidente de este comité y en 2005 la presidencia fue por elección, por un periodo de 4 años. Desde entonces se han incorporado algunos miembros nuevos y estamos trabajando para que todos los países de la región cuenten con una representación del IBE y mantengan en sus países un trabajo constante a favor de las personas con epilepsia.

Every IBE Full and Associate Member belongs to a Regional Committee, with the region determined closely in line with the WHO regional boundaries. At the present time IBE has 12 Full (voting) Members and 1 Associate (non-voting) Members in the Latin America Region.
